Tulip Time

This was the beautiful weather before Tulip Time...

This was Tulip Time...so cold! Kylie is under that blanket in her stroller...wrapped in even more blankets. It was super windy that weekend! We were watching one of the day parades...

She had a nice cozy spot!

We watched Kaina (Kurt's niece) walk in one of the parades. Everyone dresses in their dutch costumes for the parades and all the other festivities of the weekend. A town of 10,000 turns into 100,000 for the weekend! It's a pretty big deal.
No Iowa parade is complete without tractors! :)

Kylie was happy to get back home, stretch out, & roll around!
Kylie did so good the whole weekend. We carted her all over the place. We took her uptown to the Klompen Classic 5K run...to watch the runners, not to run ourselves ;)...we went to the Dutch Market in the park...we got some of our favorite Tulip Time treats - poffertjes, kettle corn, & other yummy food from the street vendors, etc...and saw a couple parades...it was good times! I would have taken more pictures, but it was so chilly & windy that Kylie was under some sort of blanket most of the time.

  1. Happy to see you got your jumper thing. Looks like a lot of fun! If there is anything else that you need to have you just let Grandma know. tee-hee
Cant wait until you can come to Africa. Grandma n Grandpa will have so much fun giving you whatever you want.
Klyie Grace soon you will be taller than Grandma! I think Auntie Julie might get her wish. She wants you to be a basketball player but we all know you will make a wonderful cheerleader. oxoxoxo Grandma loves YOU always. oxoxo
