Mother's Day & More!

It was "Baby Dedication" Sunday on Mother's Day. What a great day to do that! There were 5 babies that were dedicated. I feel so blessed to be a mom!
Kurt was making Kylie laugh for this picture...

Our family...

After the service we went to Grandpa & Grandma Rietema's house for Mother's Day lunch...and ended up playing some "Minute to win it" challenges!

Angie(Kurt's older sister) is trying to collect penne pasta noodles with a spaghetti noodle. If you've never seen the show, then this probably looks a little weird.
Kurt and Kaina are racing against the clock to carry cotton balls on their nose, using Vaseline to make it stick, from one bowl to another...

Using air from the balloon, Alan (Kurt's brother-in-law) has to make all the cups fall off the counter & table without touching them with his hand...we played a few others as well...
It was good times had by all...

I love when she falls asleep in my arms...

She's getting so tall!

Kylie now has her own Jumper-thingamabob...

She's pretty stoked on it...

That's all, folks!
There are so many little video clips I want to share, but our computer is not allowing it for some reason right now. I'm still looking into it. For now, pictures will have to do. :)

Tulip Time

This was the beautiful weather before Tulip Time...

This was Tulip Time...so cold! Kylie is under that blanket in her stroller...wrapped in even more blankets. It was super windy that weekend! We were watching one of the day parades...

She had a nice cozy spot!

We watched Kaina (Kurt's niece) walk in one of the parades. Everyone dresses in their dutch costumes for the parades and all the other festivities of the weekend. A town of 10,000 turns into 100,000 for the weekend! It's a pretty big deal.
No Iowa parade is complete without tractors! :)

Kylie was happy to get back home, stretch out, & roll around!
Kylie did so good the whole weekend. We carted her all over the place. We took her uptown to the Klompen Classic 5K run...to watch the runners, not to run ourselves ;)...we went to the Dutch Market in the park...we got some of our favorite Tulip Time treats - poffertjes, kettle corn, & other yummy food from the street vendors, etc...and saw a couple parades...it was good times! I would have taken more pictures, but it was so chilly & windy that Kylie was under some sort of blanket most of the time.

Loving spring...

This is a little park down the street from our house. We were on our way home & decided to stop and get a couple pictures of Kylie. There was a nice lady there that asked if we wanted our picture taken...maybe I shouldn't have sat on the ground! :) The Tulips are out for "Tulip Time" here in Pella.
"The hills are alive...with the sound...of music"

Since Kylie can't sit up on her own yet, Kurt had to hold her...she still did pretty good...but was easily distracted by anything she could put in her mouth.

Playing on the floor at Grandma & Grandpa Rietema's house...She rolls over alot now...the video of her rolling over is not working today for some reason, so i'll post it next time.

Kylie likes to hang out on our bed while I fold and put away laundry...

She also likes to hang out on the bathroom counter while I get ready for the day...
