It's hard to say goodbye!

My parents were in the USA from mid October til March 16th. We were blessed to have them stay with us a number of times. They got to see me pregnant...see Kylie in the hospital after she was born...stay for Christmas & New Years...& come back to see Kylie at 3 months old. These pictures are from their last week here in Pella, Iowa before they went home to Tanzania... Kylie's gonna miss her crazy grandparents!

Grandpa wanted to share!

Waitin' for our last breakfast together...

Proud Grandparents!

Grandma Rietema & Grandma Knepper take one last pose together with Kylie

A visit to Pizza Ranch...

Three generations!

Kylie loves her flashcards!

She also loves her Grandpa!

Grandma had Kylie all wrapped up after her bath...

Grandma did SO MANY photo shoots in the last week...

They even tried going outside by the tree in the front yard...it was a little cold for Kylie's liking...

Kylie is starting to like her little bunny toy...

Okay, she REALLY likes it!

Kylie was such a good sport for Grandma during the "fashion week"...

Sometimes she needed a break from the camera! :)

Other times she was workin' it!

Kylie finally likes her playmat...thanks to Grandma and their playtime this week...

The sleeping bag that Kylie is laying on was my Grandma Knepper's. I used it every time i stayed at their house growing up...it was my favorite! Now Kylie will get to grow up using it too! :)

I think that's Kylie's "pooping" face...

Must have been...that's why she's now on the changing table. Grandpa just liked kissing her feet. Grandma actually did the changing of the diaper!

My precious little girl!

We had a great last week with my parents. Kurt left to lead a team to Mexico from our church a couple days after my parents got here. It was nice to have my parents here for part of the time he was gone. I am so sad to see them go. This has been the hardest time to say goodbye. Now that Kylie is a part of our lives, i want my parents to get to see her all the time...so, we'll use SKYPE as the next best thing to real life!

  1. Skype is a grand thing when family isn't near. We have family mostly in MN but also in OR and England and they have all been able to see Isabel after she was born...it isn't the same, but it is better than just on the phone....good luck Ami. I am sorry that this "goodbye" has made you so sad...
